North Island Books frequently hires home based customer support, online Book Club assistants, and research staff to help with our online business. Work will involve assisting customers via email, live audio and video chat, instant messaging and telephone. You will log in to chat rooms and hold online conferences and book club meetings. Some of our customer service staff will also perform online research in order to locate out of print books, specific publishers or other requests made by our customers.
Home based Customer Support Assistants earn $12.00 per hour and the work is part time with flexible hours. Our Book Club Attendents earn $15.00 per hour. To qualify for all of our positions, including our in-store staff, you must have the Yahoo toolbar and be able to customize it. You will be responsible for helping our customers download this toolbar and set their links to our site, chats, instant messaging and website.
We prefer applicants with experience customizing the buttons and links on the Yahoo Toolbar to support our search requirements and instant messaging platforms.
